Films
George of the Jungle (1997) | Directed by Sam Weisman
A Disney comedy film of a man named George, who lives and has raised himself in the jungle since he was a baby, goes on a rescue mission to save his Gorilla friend from money-hungry travelers. This was my first time seeing this film as a whole. The best part was the narrator and the characters being aware of the narrator! And honestly, the villain, Lyle, and his persona were so hilarious yet a mess that he’s in my top 3 of the film’s characters.
TV series
Race for the Crown (2025)
A Netflix docu-series about the horse racing sport from the jockeys’, trainers’, and owners’ perspectives. It’s interesting getting insights into the sport dominated by the wealthy.
News Anchor (2025)
A Japanese dramatic show following the newly-hired but famous news anchor, Sôichi Shindô, who goes his own way to report national stories. This is a weekly show, so only episode 1 is out. The different point of view storylines in connection with a certain event are techniques I like so far.
