I Am Frankelda (2025) / Directed by Arturo Ambriz & Roy Ambriz
A fantasy writer, since her youth, meets one of the characters from her stories who needs her help to save his kingdom.
This is Mexico’s first-ever stop-motion film, and it has to be one of the best I’ve ever seen by far. I love that it’s within the world of a writer and her subconscious, tying that with her creativity as escapism from reality.
But I'm a Cheerleader (1999) / Directed by Jamie Babbit
A high school cheerleader gets sent to a sexual orientation conversion therapy camp by her parents.
The minute I saw RuPaul, I immediately tuned in. Also, the set and costume designs really stood out.

Meet Yourself (2023) / Directed by Ding Ziguang
A hotel employee decides to quit her job after a devastating personal event and moves to a secluded and quiet town.
I just started watching the 1st two episodes, and I’m loving the relaxing, slow-paced energy so far. Any show that takes place in a remote area intrigues me.
