Welcome to the Weekly Multimedia series! Every week, I share the multimedia recommendations that I have consumed during the week.
Films

“Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981) directed by Steven Spielberg
“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984) directed by Steven Spielberg
Recently I’ve been into these adventure films in the archaeology space. This was my first time watching both Indiana Jones’ movies in full. I’m going to finish up the collective but share if you know any films that are similar to this!
“Sly Lives! (Aka The Burden of Black Genius)” (2025) directed by Quest Love
What a great documentary about Sly Stone’s life! As someone who grew up with his music when my mom, a huge fan of his, played the songs all the time when I was a child, we had to watch this. The editing was amazing, and learned so much about the making of the songs.
TV series
This was one of those weeks where I rewatched many shows I saw as a child or with new episodes and seasons.
Valeria (2020-2025)
I can’t believe this series is over. The final season of Valeria is out now on Netflix. This series reminds me a bit of Sex and the City through the relationship lens, which made me interested in following this friendship group’s intertwined life journey.
I Am Married … But!
Melo-Movie
I started watching these two new shows on Netflix, which thankfully has all of the episodes out already. I Am Married…But! is a Chinese dramedy show about a couple going through marriage issues. Melo Movie is a Korean rom-com drama about a love story between two individuals in the film industry.
