Welcome to my Weekly Multimedia series!
Every week, I share the multimedia recommendations I’ve consumed during the week.
Check them out!
Films
One Million Yen Girl (2009) | Directed by Yuki Tanada
After being released from prison, a young woman decides to move out of her family’s home and save up one million yen to move to a faraway town where no one knows her.
This film is heavily based on the theme of self-discovery as we follow her travel journey.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) | Directed by Gore Verbinski
The first installment of the series introduces the meeting of a pirate and a blacksmith who attempt to save a governor’s daughter from the Black Pearl pirate crew.
It’s the soundtrack for me. But the twists and turns of the story make the film continuously entertaining.
Heartbreakers (2001) | Directed by David Mirkin
After successfully getting the final divorce settlement, a mother and daughter duo attempt one last blackmail-marriage scheme in Florida to pay the IRS.
You can tell who is stuck in the past and who is ready to move on.
TV series
Bachelor in Paradise (2014-) | Released on ABC
The newest season from The Bachelor franchise airs with an entirely new setup, and now starring two generations: those in their 20s and 30s, and those over 50.
I’m very interested in seeing how the connections are going to unfold now, because if anyone has seen the first three episodes already… yeah. I’m ready!
