A unicorn goes on a quest to find out the meaning behind her being the last existing unicorn.
I’m surprised I haven’t watched this before. Besides that, I love the story and animation style.
Because I Said So (2007) / Directed by Michael Lehmann
An overbearing single mother creates an ad to find eligible bachelors for her youngest daughter.
The movie is definitely similar to Nancy Meyers’ movie set tone, but it’s not.
Angel’s Egg (1985) / Directed by Mamoru Oshii
A young girl walks around a quiet, strange city holding and protecting a large egg.
Beautiful animation style with deep symbolism to pay attention to.
The NeverEnding Story (1984) / Directed by Wolfgang Petersen
A young boy reads a fairy tale story in his school’s attic away from his bullies.
I sometimes miss seeing costume-design mystical creatures on screen instead of CGI.
